Actress Natasa Stankovic and Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya left their fans in shock after they announced their separation on Thursday night, July 18. Netizens expressed their shock over the joist statement released by the estranged. Fans are still reeling from the heartbroken news. In the midst of it all, an old admission of her first meeting with Hardik has now surfaced on the internet. She had opened up and revealed how they met at a nightclub and she was completely taken by his personality.
In her wedding video, the 32-year-old actress recalled her first meeting with her now ex-husband had stated that it happened at a nightclub. She revealed that she and Hardik shared a friend in common. While attending a party at the club, she was introduced to him for the first time. Quoted by the Free Press Journal, she said, “He walks in a hat, some kind of a shawl and blingy-blingy everywhere. In so many years in India, I had not seen such a person, such a persona. Stankovic further added that when she went on to meet him and approached him with a handshake, he hugged her instead. Talking about the couple, they tied the knot in 2020, after the cricketer proposed to her on a yacht with a diamond ring. They went on to renew their wedding vows in February 2023 and got married in Hindu as well as Christian traditions in the presence of their family and friends. They gave birth to their son Agastya in 2020.
The rumours surrounding their divorce started rising after the actress failed to shower her husband with praises after his T20 win. She has been on the receiving end of criticism and maintained her silence over the same. The rumours first started spreading when she archived her wedding photos on her official handles after the IPL 2024.
Announcing their divorce in a joint statement, they stated, “After 4 years of being together, Natasa and I have decided to mutually part ways. We tried our best together and gave it our all, and we believe that this is in the best interest for the both of us. This was a tough decision for us to make, given the joy, mutual respect, and companionship we enjoyed together and as we grew a family. We are blessed with Agastya, who will continue to be at the centre of both our lives and we will co-parent to ensure that we give him everything that we can for his happiness. We sincerely request your support and understanding to give us privacy during this difficult and sensitive time.”
